Telecommunications trainers, like all DE LORENZO didactic equipment, are teaching facilities of current conception, rational use and suitable for different levels courses. Devices are manufactured on high standards to guarantee reliability, resistance, durability, safety and esthetics.

On the mechanical side, trainers are made - depending on the case - on panels or brief cases; for larger trainers, are used as a bench, equipped with a high shelf which includes summary tables and devices.

The panels have a standard format according to DIN EURORACK 19 ". The front panels are made of 2 mm aluminum, bended, profiled and an epoxy coating abrasion resistant and anti-glare. The uncoated iron parts are protected by a suitable galvanic treatment, with high thickness. On the front panel it is shown the overview diagram of the apparatus, with commands, displays, in, out and test points. The test points have a gold coating that helps having a better electrical contact between the test point and the connection wire terminals, as well as to provide an effective protection against corrosion due to environment and use.

Electrical terminals are 2 mm diameter banana type. Cables that complete the equipment are available in 5, 10, 25 or 50 cm sizes and red, black, blue and green colors.

All telecommunications panels are powered with low voltage (+5 V, +15 V,-15VDC), so that devices can be used with a single supply.

For people safety, all items subject to hazardous voltages are suitably protected by covers, eliminating the possibility of accidental contact. The circuits are protected, as possible, against overloads, short circuits, reverse polarity, etc..

In order to make maintenance easier, the main components are mounted on bases and connectors, as well as being welded on the same side of printed circuit board for an easy location and replacement. Ensuring availability of spare parts over time, it has been avoided the use of special components that were not easy to fetch.

The didactic documentation that completes each kit includes a manual containing a section devoted to theoretical notions, corresponding to suggested practices. These are graded in order to make it easier for the teacher it's adoption to the specific needs of the courses.
